When My brother-in-love Decker's first child. Stephanie J. Screen, was born. Decker was a nervous wreck and headed the wrong way. I remember him holding her and marveling at her size. That was the only time he remained quiet for more than 5 minutes. I will miss Decker.

I remember when I first met Decker and Velma, I think in 1997. I am originally from MI, but my husband Mike and I live in IA. On one of our first trips to MI to visit my family, Mike began his search to track down his ole' Army buddy Decker. He called every Screen in the directory, (quite a few), until he finally tracked down a relative of Decker's. He left his number, so that Decker could return his call, and that began a beloved friendship; with yearly visits, and shared dinners with Velma and Decker. Over the years, we excitedly looked forward to our yearly visits together, to share our lives, over meals, laugh, and catch up on family events. Beautiful visits with kindred spirits. We will dearly miss his bright mind, quick wit, kind and generous spirit, and most of all, his loving heart. May God enfold Decker in his everlasting love, and breathe eternal peace into his spirit. We love and miss you! Velma, we hold you dearly in our thoughts, hearts and in our prayers. God bless and keep you always! Mike & Roseann
