I only got to dive with Tony one time, but he made it memorable. I was doing a preliminary survey of an old wooden wreck in Lake St. Clair, and he joined us to shoot video, bringing along Rich Castillo. The wreck was pretty beat up, but his footage was his usual top quality. When I apologized for bringing him out to film a lumber pile, he came back with, "Hey, we found a schooner! That's always a good thing." Miss you, Tony!

Tony was the president of the Seahorses when I joined. He was always there providing leadership. In thinking back on Tony, I think that he was the heart and soul of the Seahorses and the Sea Lancers. He will be missed. I also volunteer at a Public Access Studio that serves 11 communities in southern Oakland County. Tony was a guest on a number of the shows, presenting the videos he produced of Great Lakes Shipwrecks and his dive travels to other parts of the world. The producer of these shows has scheduled 3 of them to air over the next week to honor Tony. If you live in one of those 11 communities you can watch them on channel 18 on WOW or Comcast.
