So many fun summers at my grandmothers apartment. All of us cousins would spend days swimming at the pool and grandma would take us back periodically for lunch, snacks, and dinner. I remember a time when I was in fifth grade and grandma helped me all night to read my history book to do well on a test. I don't remember what I got, but I remember doing well on the test and having that memory that I will cherish forever. I remember Grandma's salmon patties and sweet potatoes. She adored having family together and cook for everyone. She loved having everyone over even in her small apartment. I was blessed to share lunches with her when she worked at AAA and she helped me get one of my first jobs at the Dearborn branch.
