I Remember...

Her sweetness and humor and love of animals. And Schitt's Creek - a show we both enjoyed and chatted about. But her sweetness most of all

Janice McMillan

When I first started at my job, she was basically my mentor. She answered my questions and helped me out a lot. But when I went through a difficult break up, she reached out to me. She listened and comforted me. We ended up hanging out a lot even after she left her old job. I could always count on her to listen to me and to understand my frustrations. And she always believed in me, especially when I didn't think much of myself. I'll miss you Kristen. I wish I could've visited you one more time.

I worked at KOKH-TV FOX 25 in Oklahoma City during the time Kristen worked there. We worked in different departments, but I would occasionally see out-and-about in OKC at various artistic and live music events. It seems we had similar tastes. She was always good for a smile and a laugh, and I was always happy to see her. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Kristen was my very first friend when I moved to Michigan as a scared 4th grader. We shared a locker together and she quickly took me under her wing and became one of my best childhood friends. Though our families moving away separated us a few years later, Kristen always remained in the forefront of my mind. There are few moments in life that one can say helped shape them into the adult they are today. I can honestly say that Kristen's unwavering kindness that she showed to me years ago has forever touched me. Thank you, Kristen.
