During my senior year in high school she asked a guest speaker from Case to visit to discuss the nursing program. I was an excellent student, but would be the first in my entire extended family to consider going to college. I had never planned on being a nurse but -that was it. Today I am a nurse practitioner and a full time faculty and Director of a program at NYU. Sharon Konet was and is a remarkable woman with a passion for doing good and helping others. She believed in personal responsibility and guided me in a way to take responsibility for my future--never looking down on me for what background I didn't come from. Thank you Mrs. Konet.
