Memories
I first met Tom when I was about 6 years of age when he started dating my big sister Elaine. I was the flower girl at Tom & Elaine's wedding, and soon after spent many weekends at their home babysitting for my niece and nephews. Tom was always willing to help me out with my various art projects; I still have the silkscreen press he made for me, painted a lovely shade of purple. He and I had many good conversations as he picked me up to babysit, or drove me home from Wayne State after his evening business classes. Although he had a large and busy family of his own, he was always interested in what I was doing and remained so all of his life. I will remember him kindly, and miss him greatly.

When I was little we would go to Uncle Tom's and he would greet me with a very strong handshake and practically break my tiny fingers and then ask if I caught any frogs recently. Love you Uncle Tom I will miss you.

We will always remember Mr Lorenz's smile,warmth,grace,and the twinkle in his eyes whenever he mentioned his children My Husband and I enjoyed many great conversations with Mr Lorenz. We will truly miss him and take comfort knowing he is now reunited with 3 of his children

I enjoyed working with Tom for many years in the Casting division (Foundry.) He was an outstanding individual and friendly person. He was a straight shooter. No pretense about him. He was especially proud of his family. I remember that he always put his feet up on his desk and took a little snooze after lunch. He said it refreshed him for the afternoon.
