I Remember...

Dear Uncle, I remember when you used to come over when we were little and hang out with us at grandma's. You remember your old dog Sheeba, and how aunt Lori and cousin Sharon used to make fun of me bc I said Smuf instead of Smurf? LOL, hilarious. I remember when you came to the shacks to pick me up in your new Cadi and drove me around the hood -I thought it was awesome, lol. No one in the shacks drove a Cadi. I'm sure you were trying to open my eyes to what a nice life could look like. I remember you taking me out on your boat when you first got it - you took me to get fishing bate and we fished all morning long. I remember when you came to gatherings and we'd laugh for hours, just shooting the shit and cracking jokes. I always remember your random texts to me, any time of day or night... just to chat and keep company. You were such a positive impact on my life and I thank you for that. Love you uncle - see you on the other side. Love - Aleecia

My favorite memories of my Papa Ed were always at the lake. I would look forward to the weekends when my parents, sister, and grandparents would drive to Irish Hills, our home away from home. We'd go out on the boat where he always wore his Canton cut off t-shirt and when the waves were calm enough we'd swim under the pontoon where my laughs would echo from under the boat. We'd all stay up late by the campfire to eat s'mores and take turns telling scary stories. What I will miss the most is seeing your smiling face waiting at the gate as a pulled up to the house, your warm comforting bear hug, and your voice saying "Hey Babygirl" as I walked in the house. I'll miss your jokes at holiday dinners and the daily jokes you'd text me, once "texting" became a thing. I will always be so deeply thankful for the importance you put on school and education and I couldn't be happier to follow in yours and grandmas footsteps of being a Wolverine, GO BLUE! I love you <3

Hey Big Brother, I'm so lucky to have had you for my brother. I remember when you came home from your service, I was so excited to meet you I was about 7yrs. old. I hadn't seen you since I was just a toddler so I really didn't know you at the time because you were serving our country. Mom would always tell the story of you and your friend Berry Palms playing catch with me like I was a football.LOL! I always tell Mom that you guys dropped me and that's why I'm so messed up! LOL! You were always being a funny big brother. I remember the year 1970 for Christmas you bought me my first organ I loved it and yes I did learn to play it. Remember when you bought your first motorcycle, I was so excited for you and I always wanted a ride, you wouldn't dare because Mom said NO!!Oh how about the time when you scarred the crap out of me when Mom and Dad were gone and I was home alone. It was dark out, you knocked at the front door you hid from the window I looked out of the window you had on the OLD MAN MASK!!! I about shit my pants. Many times I'd just call to talk and no matter what you'd always make me laugh. You were the Best Brother a girl could ever have, I love you and I will miss you so so much. Thank you for being so Awesome, see you on the other side. Love your baby sister LYNN.

Ed was a great asset to the Canton Township organization while he ran the Fleet Operations Section of Public Works.
