I Remember...

-visiting Grandma Jean and Grandpa in New Port Richey, Florida when I was 11 years old... my first airplane trip and somehow found a record store and bought the cassette tape for the Beastie Boys debut album, which helped begin my love for music...very nice winter home, and for whatever reason, I remember that trip and their home vividly....and we got to dog-sit Rocky each winter while they lived in Florida... great memories of having that wonderful dog live with us. -visiting family at their house in Farmington Hills (Red Clover) on Sundays, getting to watch the 4:00 NFL football games (usually the Broncos vs whomever) and playing video games in their basement with Brian.. getting to eat their "Chips Deluxe" cookies with coconut and chocolate chips that she always had "on hand" when we visited... and of course, having Uncle Joe put me up on top of their refridgerator -when I was older, visiting their newer home in South Lyon and being introduced to Pepsi Free soda and being forced to watch lots and lots of golf on TV -every so often, after my mom would call her when they were in Florida, she would hand me the phone and Grandma and I would discuss the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in particular coach Tony Dungy, and she was very knowledgable about their team! (how ironic is it that right before Grandma passed, those Buccaneers won the super bowl!) -seeing Grandma for the last time before covid, a nice family lunch at the Ruby Tuesday, and remember the girls giving her homemade cards/artwork they made special for her birthday (believe it was her 95th)

Sending hugs to Joe and Bob, and your families. I will always remember my Aunt Jean as being supportive, interesting, and sharing her thoughtful history of our family, which I will always treasure. Jacqui 2/14/2021
