To Mrs. Fichter and family -- I am sorry to learn about Mr. Fichter's passing and for your loss. Mr. Fichter was clearly from the 'Greatest Generation' -- a hard-working, self-made, and humble man with integrity and who stood by his word. 'Senior' loved his family and friends and I feel fortunate to have known him and I appreciate that he took me under his wing and always gave me a warm 'Pittsburgh' welcome. He was proud to let you know he was from the 'Burgh' and he loved his Black and Gold teams especially the Steelers who are losing a loyal fan, but I expect during football seasons he will be rooting for them in Heaven alongside Art Rooney Sr. For every one of us ... death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, but love leaves memories that no one can steal!
