I remember Lydia being the most positive and happiest soul I've ever met. You couldn't go past her without her stopping you and introducing herself if you're new to the LPA events like she did to me. I remember attending my first regional and that was the first time I actually had an actual conversation with her. I never heard her call me by my name. It was always "Hey girlfriend!". I remember being afraid to approach people at the regional and she asked me why I wasn't going around and talking to people. Boy was she determined to take me around to meet people. I know I've only seen her a few times but I'm gonna miss her terribly. She was one of those people you would have an instant connection with as soon as you meet her.

I remember Lydia being a friendly, pleasant, fun, outspoken person with a good sense of humor that was easy to talk with about anything. She was a giving person and made homemade gifts of chocolate for the holidays, note cards consisting of photos she took and decorated with colorful glitter and tie dyed socks in a variety of colors. She was helpful at organizing church activities, like the Christmas ornament painting class. She seemed to enjoy going to comic cons to sign autographs and answer questions for Star Wars fans. I liked hearing her Star Wars stories, too. I remember playing a game with Marvin, Lydia and other guests at their house. We had a good time and laughed a lot. Years ago, every once in a while, Lydia would bring the dogs to visit Marvin at work at break time. We were happy to see them. I am glad I knew her. She had a positive influence on me. I will always remember Lydia!

A sweet and happy person. I have no idea how she made it around those halls of Redford High School...so many stairs! She was a locker partner. I am glad she met Marv and was able to travel and enjoy life. She will be missed.
