I have very fond memories growing up of Uncle Ismael. Almost every year, Mom and Dad would take us to visit Auntie Eva and her family in MI so we always saw Uncle Ismael and Auntie Lelita. Mom and Dad always loved visiting with them and exchanging endless stories. Before going home to Chicago, we would go to Uncle Ismael and Auntie Lelita's house for lunch. I remember our visits with Uncle Ismael and Auntie Lelita whether in Michigan or Chicago always being full of joy and laughter! Uncle Ismael always had a joyful disposition and was such a delight to be around. My most special memory is one I vaguely remember. When I was 4, I had the honor of being flower girl at Uncle Ismael and Auntie Lelita's wedding. Grateful to have had that role in such a special day in Uncle Ismael's AMAZING life. Rest in heavenly peace Uncle Ismael.
