Durai Anna was a familiar face during Thanksgiving parties at Nimi Anni's house and other gatherings. I enjoyed the conversations with him as we were in the same line of work. His wisdom and pleasant disposition were always something to look forward to. May God give comfort to the family during this time of loss

It is a real shock and unbearable news indeed. Both Dr. Duraisamy and Gayathri are such a lovely couple and are always very friendly and helpful to friends and the community. We see them regularly when visit Canton. Last September we spent a night in their home and had a long chat about various topics such as family, kids and community. We never expected such a healthy person vanish suddenly this early in life. We will miss him both as a family friend and as part of our community. Our heartfelt deep condolences to Gayathri, Kirthi and Swetha and the extended family. May he rest in peace. Forever in our hearts, Nithi family (Karun, Santhi, Kavin and Arthi) from New Jersey.

Dear Durais, I always remember you as a soft and ever smiling friend from our CIT days. Kangeyam Kannan was our common connection. I always got updates about you through him including this shocking news. Although we lost touch after college in 1985, it was nice to reconnect again. I remember our long phone call last year. Couldn't believe and digest this news that you are not with us physically any more. We all will miss you and your evergreen smile...

Neela and I remember your last visit to our home in Fort Wayne with your family for a breakfast just before the pandemic. You commented about smelling Saravana bhavan as you were entering the house. We had some good time with pongal idly vada (Swetha's favorite too) chatting that morning with your family. Our fond memories of our association over the years with family and bringing up our girls in Michigan will be ever lasting with our family.

It was a privilege to have worked with Durai. His quiet kind manner was always appreciated. I'll cherish my recent conversation I had with Durai. We both shared the latest news about our families, etc. I'll miss our familiar greeting we shared together. It has a whole new meaning now. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I worked with Durai over the course of a few months in 2021. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the project I was tasked with and it was a pleasure working with him. My condolences. - RWD

I am Gnanapragasam, year mate of our dear Duraiswamy in Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) 1985 batch. Some of us from Chennai were his hostel mates for a brief period in a common room. Durai was a gentle and quiet person and we could only remember him smiling always, even when we, the Chennai guys, used to make noise through the night. After college, we came in touch via whatsapp group and Durai was quite active in the group. His comments in the group was thoughtful even amidst heated discussions. Very shocked to hear his sudden demise. Tearful homage to him. Condolences to his family members including wife and daughters.
