I Remember...

One thing I remember most about Lorry was her infectious laugh. Memories from when I was a girl stick the most with me. I remember trick or treating and spreading candy all over her floor. Going to the pond and feeding ducks and having them follow us as we were trying to leave. Eating fresh asparagus for the first time. Her sing song voice and silly names that always brought a smile. Her beautiful heart and fun spirit will be greatly missed.

Lorry was a lovely daughter-in-law. I will truly miss her. But I can happily know she is not suffering anymore.

Aunt Lorry is a warm light that will never truly go out; even if she's no longer with us we can all still feel the glow of her memory. When I think of her I think of summer; she was always radiant, bright, and fun, so full of laughter. I'll never forget all the silly nicknames she'd give people (my favorites for me were Belby and Shelterbeast) or her goofy, often dirty sense of humor. I remember when she'd come over to our house on thursday nights when I was a kid to watch Survivor with me and my mom, and the times we'd all go to Bridgman together in the summer and spend time getting sunburnt finding rounds & great whites on the beach and exploring the old campsite, and so many the family events and birthdays and xmasses that she'd always bring the laughter to. I miss her so much. ?????

Something I wrote 5 or 6 years before I meet her;

Golden hair that dances in the breeze,
Warm hands that hold and comfort me,
sweet smile that shines like the sun,
Loving heart that is kind and giving,
My love for you darling is sincere,
You have entered my soul and filled my life.

I don't know if I wrote this so she would find me or I knew she would find me.

Life solitary,
A fortuitous meeting,
Two lives are fulfilled.

I remember everything about my big sister. She was my hero from when I was a young girl, right up until she passed. She was so brave and free. I always wished I could have her humor, free spirit and strong sense of self. She was an amazing person and I loved her so very, very much. She is a tremendous loss to me and I will look forward to seeing her at Lake Michigan...

Oh so many years ago...in our 20's I remember summer BBQ's and boat rides with Lori and her family. I remember summer evenings of our youth, where I would tag along with her family and go dancing, and yes oh yes... Lori was an awesome dancer! Lori was such a beautiful person inside and out When I close my eyes I can hear Lori's sweet laugh in my head, and it makes me smile.
