DANOU VERONICA MELISSA 45, of Bloomfield Hills, passed away on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at Providence Hospital in Southfield. Veronica was born Sept. 2, 1968, the daughter of Samir and Mary Jane (Najor) Danou and granddaughter of Shamama Danou. She graduated in 1985 from Mercy High School in Farmington Hills and worked for her family's business, including many years at grocery stores across Metro Detroit. Veronica was helpful to customers and employees and known for her fast fingers on the adding machine and the cash register. A pet lover, she was especially fond of her dogs Logan and Petey. The oldest of six children, Veronica was known as the big sister with a big heart. Veronica was caring, giving, happy to help others and was loyal to her family. She leaves her parents, grandmother and brothers and sisters Vanessa, Steven and his wife Michelle, Derrick, Jessica, and Robert. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Asso Kumerkou Danou, Joseph P. Najor and Zarifa Najor. Visitation will be held 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2 at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills. A funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3 at Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church, 25585 Berg Road in Southfield.
