Michael John Anchor, age 73 of Canton, passed away January 26, 2021.

Michael was the beloved and adored husband of Nancy (nee Less). Loving and devoted father of Jessica Anchor (Scott Hollenbeck). Dear brother of Betty (Ron) Briseno and Mary (Mike) Culbertson. Loving and fun uncle, brother-in-law, and great uncle to many. Michael was the beloved son of the late Michael and Genevieve Anchor. He leaves behind his cat-pal, Skitch, whom Michael named after the original bandleader of "The Tonight Show", Skitch Henderson, because of their shared goatees.

Michael was a retired chemist from BASF Corporation and was inventor of 23 patents. He enjoyed life and loved nothing more than spending time with Jessica or being in his beautiful backyard grilling steaks, having a beer, and soaking in his hot tub with Nancy. Raise a glass and toast this wonderful man’s life.

The family would like to thank the staffs of the U of M Geriatrics Center, Comfort Keepers of Plymouth, and Hospice of Michigan for all of the care and support they provided.

A Memorial Visitation for Mr. Anchor will be held Thursday, June 17th, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Road, Canton. His Memorial Mass will follow on Friday, June 18th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas a'Becket Catholic Church, 555 S Lilley Rd, Canton, MI 48188.
