Carolyn Mae Kaczmarek, age 90, passed away September 7, 2024. Family was the heart of Carolyn's world. She was always there to love, support and assist whenever needed. She delighted in spending quality time with her loved ones, whether it was engaging in lively game nights or crafting Christmas ornaments. For over 25 years, Carolyn created these ornaments, each one a treasured symbol of her love and dedication. These ornaments continue to be cherished keepsakes, preserving her legacy within her family's traditions. As the daughter of a pastor, Carolyn's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a dedicated member of Northwestern Baptist Church/Wellspring Church, where her spiritual commitment was evident in both her actions and her interactions with others. Her faith not only guided her but also inspired those around her. Carolyn's passion for exploration and adventure took her to every corner of the globe. In her lifetime, she proudly visited all 50 states and every Canadian province. Her travels also spanned across Europe, from the sunlit landscapes of Italy to the historic streets of France and the charming cities of the United Kingdom. Her journeys were often accompanied by a love for discovering picturesque lighthouses, a testament to her appreciation for both beauty and history. Music was another significant part of Carolyn's life. A devoted admirer of classical music, she found solace and joy in its timeless melodies, which often accompanied her travels and family gatherings. Carolyn's memory will live on through her family and friends, who will always remember her steadfast love, adventurous spirit, love for music, and unwavering faith. Carolyn was the beloved wife of Norbert for 72 years. Loving mother of Ann (Robert) Kuelbs, Brian (Pamela) Kaczmarek, Susan (Eugene) Patin, and Paul (Diana) Kaczmarek. Proud grandmother of Kathryn (Gregory) Poulos, Andrew (Gabrielle) Kuelbs, Jennifer Ristoski, Brianne (Wade) Cooke, Andrew Kaczmarek, Kevin (Kristie) Kaczmarek, Patrick (Megan) Patin, and Ryan (Madeline) Patin and great-grandmother of Anika, Elianna, Kendall, Liam, Evelyn, Christian, Benjamin, and Kaia. Dearest sister of David (Sandy) Thornberry. Visitation for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, September 11th, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Visitation will continue Thursday, September 12th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Carolyn will be laid to rest in Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills.
