Sandra Jean Drouillard-Maxwell, age 67 of Canton, passed away September 19,2024.

As the youngest of three sisters, Sandy was raised in Plymouth, Michigan and graduated from Salem High School in 1975. She earned both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University.  

With a long and fulfilling career at AAA Insurance, Sandra was known for her dedication and genuine care for her clients and colleagues. Outside of work, she thrived in the world of music and dance, particularly as a member of the Footloose Fancies tap dance troupe, where her passion and energy shone brightly.

Beyond the stage, she was a master gardener, finding joy in nurturing her beautiful plants and creating serene outdoor spaces. She also had a deep love for dogs, frequently volunteering at the Humane Society of Huron Valley, where her compassion and dedication to animal welfare were evident.

Sandra cherished the moments spent traveling, especially with her family, creating memories that will be held dear by all who loved her. As an aunt, she took immense pride in doting on her nieces and nephews, sharing laughter and love in abundance.

Known for her delightful sense of humor, Sandra had a unique ability to bring smiles to those around her. Her infectious laughter and warm smile will be profoundly missed.

Sandra was the dearest sister of Ann (Bill) Furtwangler and Barb (Bill) McConnell. Loving aunt of Lisa, Beth (Jon), Ryan (Joanna), Erin, Wynn (Maggie) and great aunt of Austin and Blake. She is also survived by many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline and Curtiss Drouillard, and her husband, Jeff Maxwell.

A private celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at a later date.
