Karlyn Victoria Schuldt, age 89, passed away on April 28, 2025. With a strong sense of dedication and service, Karlyn worked for over 30 years as an assistant administrator for the AMVETS of Michigan. Later, she brought warmth and joy to residents at American House, where she served as a weekend manager and activities coordinator. Karlyn had a passion for travel and made lasting memories with her family on river cruises such as the Boblo Boats in Detroit, the Delta Queen Steamboat along the Mississippi River, and even a Great Lakes cruise on the South American steamship. Her adventurous spirit also took her to Russia and Alaska. Beyond her travels, she found joy in the rhythms of Polka and Dixieland Jazz concerts and cherished the companionship of close friends from her condo community. Known for her culinary talents, Karlyn was especially famous in her family for her delicious Polish meals—her grandchildren fondly remember her “World Famous Baba Beans,” a dish that became a treasured family tradition. Karlyn will be remembered for her kindness, strength, love of family, and vibrant spirit. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Karlyn was the loving mother of Glenn (Andrea) and Ken (Kathy) Schuldt. Proud grandmother of Kevin, Christopher (Jaime), Rachel (Hailey Dann), and Stephanie Schuldt and great-grandmother of Iris and Raymond Schuldt. Dearest sister of the late Andrea Putin and Frank Billcheck. Karlyn's inurnment will be held on Monday, June 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hedwig Cemetery, 23755 Military Road, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127. Memorial donations in Karlyn’s name may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.Karlyn Schuldt
