Caroline Shimmell, age 83 of Canton, passed away May 9, 2025.

Always dressed to impress, Caroline loved spending time with her friends and family. She was devout in her faith and truly enjoyed living life to the fullest. 

Caroline was the beloved wife of the late Gerald. She leaves behind many dear friends and family members.

Visitation for Caroline will be held on Thursday,  May 15th, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. She will lie in state on Friday, May 16th, at 10:30 a.m., until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 44800 Warren Rd., Canton. She will be laid to rest in Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, Flat Rock.
