Mary Ann Simms (Kokoski), a beloved daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 5th, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born in Scarbro, West Virginia on October 6th, 1940, and was the cherished daughter of the late Joe Kokoski and Elizabeth (Finn) Kokoski.

Mary spent the majority of her life in Middletown, Ohio, before moving to Farmington Hills, Michigan, to spend her golden years near her beloved grandsons. She found great joy in raising her family, playing bingo, solving crossword puzzles, going to garage sales, and reading novels.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Bernard Simms and Brian Simms; Bernard's wife, Susan Simms. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Violet Treadway and Rosemary Roberts, and her devoted brother, Ambrose Kokoski, and his wife, Armatha Kokoski. She will be deeply missed by her grandsons, Benjamin Simms and Evan Simms, who brought immense joy to her life.

Mary will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Mary’s family is deeply thankful for the heartwarming care she received at The Halsted Place senior living community.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th, at 10:00 a.m., with her Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI 48334.
