Robert E. Tapert, age 87, passed away July 18, 2025. He was born on June 7, 1938 to Alfred and Evelyn Tapert.

A proud graduate of Cornell University, Bob continued his education at the University of Michigan, earning his master’s in business administration. His career spanned over 30 years as a planner for the City of Detroit.

Bob was the beloved husband of Asma for 57 years. Loving father of Andrew (Ashley) Tapert. Proud grandfather of Logan and Harper Tapert. Dear brother of Donald (Kathleen Byrne) Tapert and uncle of Irene, Neil and Justine Tapert.

A private family service will be held and Bob will be laid to rest in Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley. Arrangements entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, Farmington Hills.
