Charles Thomas “Chuck” Sharpe, born July 7, 1939, to Charles M. and Edith Sharpe, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Chuck grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, and graduated from Arthur Hill High School before earning a degree from Michigan State University. He began his career in advertising with several large newspapers and went on to build successful businesses in local advertising and collectibles. He met his wife, Darlene, at an A&W Restaurant, and together they shared 64 years of marriage filled with friends, card games, and adventures all across the United States and Europe. They built a family and raised five daughters in homes throughout Michigan. Chuck had a lifelong curiosity about history and nature, earning the nickname “Nash” for always having his nose in a National Geographic magazine. He enjoyed antique automobiles, coin collecting, and caring for his many pets—especially his ducks, rabbits, and kitties. Proud of his Irish heritage, Chuck loved genealogy and gathering the family together each St. Patrick’s Day. He was always ready to toast the occasion—or cure a scratchy throat—with a Guinness in hand. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, and his daughters Sheri (John) Giampa, Cyndy Sharpe, Kristine (Gary) Rosenberg, Korlyn (Rob) Morais, and Rebekka (Ryan) McCann. He will be remembered by his ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many friends from the antique car and coin-collecting communities. Chuck was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local animal shelter. A private family memorial will be held. Arrangements entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, Farmington Hills.
