Richard “Dick” J. Dickshott, age 88, of Farmington Hills, passed away on October 26, 2025. He was born on August 30, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, to Dorothy and John Dickshott.

At just 13 years old, following the passing of his father, Dick took on the responsibility of helping care for his family and running the family’s grocery store in Detroit. He later graduated from the University of Detroit and went on to build a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant with his business RJ Dickshott and Associates. 

Beyond his professional life, Dick was an avid golfer and a loyal Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings fan, finding great joy in the games both on the course and in the stands.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Georgiana; his nieces and nephews, Jamie (Jeff), Travis, Charisse, Jason (Deyden), Guy (Deanna), Glenn, Graig (Brandi) and Grant (Lauren); and his great-nieces and nephews, Kenadee, Stella, Lilli, Paxton, Rinzin, and Kelsang.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Roberta and Marylyn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dick’s name may be directed to Gleaners Community Food Bank.
