Joseph Backus Neme, age 94, passed away November 6, 2025. He was born April 29, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Backus and Maria Neme.

Joseph was the beloved husband of Ann for 64 years. Loving father of Chris (Laurel) Neme and Janice (Rich) Foley. Proud grandfather of Jackson (Lindsey Gradowski) Neme, Reece Foley and Ben Foley. Also survived by his sister Marlene Neme, his brother Richard (Irene) Neme, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Joe will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. He will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.

Memorial donations in Joseph’s name can be made to Henry Ford Health’s Heart and Vascular Institute Research Fund.
