Richard "Dick" C. Kravick, Sr., age 88 of West Bloomfield, passed away on November 14, 2025. He was born on June 15, 1937, at Highland Park General Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

He graduated from Cass Technical High School in 1955, then Lawrence Tech University for 2 years. Dick began his career as a draftsman, a role he held for two years before being drafted into the U.S. Army, followed by service in the reserves. Dick went on to spend his professional life in marketing, retiring after 40 years with Consumers Power Company.  Even in retirement, he continued to stay active, earning and maintaining a Michigan State Builder’s License.

In 1958, he married the girl of his dreams, Gail (Hilton) Kravick—the moment where his life, as his children would say, “took an exciting turn for the better.”  Dick loved the outdoors, especially gardening and beautifying the yard; he could hardly wait for spring each year.  He also enjoyed time in his basement workshop, where he built wooden home decor and rarely met a household repair he couldn’t fix.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Dick passed his love of athletics to his family.  Many cherished memories were made by watching him play summer softball and baseball, coaching his son’s little league baseball team, and just as many more times were shared watching sports together on TV.

Holding Gail’s hand throughout life, Dick led his family on many memorable vacations.  He was a loving and giving husband, father, and grandfather.  Dick and Gail were truly best friends, and he embraced every chapter of their journey together.

Dick was a leader, provider, counselor, and devoted family man with a forward-thinking spirit.  Now it is time to say good-bye.  Dick has gone to glory—no doubt already scouting out a softball team to join.

Dick is survived by his wife Gail, celebrating 67 years of marriage; his children, Lynne (John) Glannan, Sheryl (Harold) Haaser, Karen (Paul) Fox, and Rick (Laurie) Kravick;  his grandchildren, Brett (Cassie) Allen, Sydnee (Jeff) Johnston, Blake Kravick, Elliot Kravick, Amelia Kravick and his great granddaughter, Harper Allen; and his sister, June.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Stella; and his siblings, Bill, Barbara, and Phyllis.

Visitation for Richard will be held on Thursday, November 20th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. He will be laid to rest in Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia.
