Cheryl Ann Prowse, age 78, of Farmington Hills, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025. She was born on October 9, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, to Arthur and Shirley Prowse. Cheryl grew up in Utica, Michigan, one of five children, and cherished her summers spent on Lake Huron in East Tawas. She was married twice, to Richard Lubaway and Edward Azar, and was grateful for the family and life experiences each marriage brought. Cheryl’s faith was deep and devoted. She began each morning in prayer and moved through her days spreading light, kindness, and the Lord’s love to everyone she encountered. She had a curious mind and an adventurous spirit, especially when it came to people and travel. To Cheryl, a stranger was an opportunity to make someone laugh. She had a lifelong love of Corvettes. Having raced and restored several as a young woman, Cheryl decided at age 75 to buy another. She proudly joined the GMC Corvette Set (supporting the Leader Dogs for the Blind). She found great joy in driving her car and sharing stories with fellow enthusiasts. Cheryl was also known for her cooking, especially her beloved spaghetti sauce and baklava, favorites among family and friends. Memorial donations in Cheryl’s name may be made to Another Way Pregnancy Center, 28552 Orchard Lake Rd., Suite 300, Farmington Hills, MI 48334.
