Ching-Pei Tao, of Michigan, died on December 14, 2025. He was 67 years old.

He is survived by his children, Jon and Julia.

Ching-Pei was born in Taichung City, Taiwan and went to Chinese Culture University. He moved to the United States and graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with a master’s degree in computer science. 

Ching-Pei was a hardworking son, loving brother, and caring father. He loved to go on road trips all over America and leaves behind a well-worn atlas traced with all the highways he has traveled. 

In death he is reunited with his parents Young Lin and Hsing Hsueh Pin and his two older brothers, Ching Yuan and Ching Po, hopefully sharing tales of all the roads he has taken.

Visitation for Ching-Pei will be held on Sunday, December 21st, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills.
