Louise Genovese, age 88 of Farmington Hills, passed away on December 17, 2025. Louise grew up on the east side of Cleveland in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, and attended Mayfield High School. She then went on to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nutrition. She furthered her education by earning a master’s degree in Dietetics from Mills College in California. Louise worked in the nutrition industry as a dietitian for the Stouffer’s/Nestlé group. She also worked for nursing home organizations, where she was responsible for planning nutritional diets for residents. In addition, she authored several articles on nutrition and healthy diets. She was active in her condominium association, serving on the board as secretary. Louise loved to travel and enjoyed cooking, she was an outstanding cook, as well as gardening. She collected porcelain angels and had a deep appreciation for the arts and the classics. A generous spirit, she donated to many charities. Louise was a practicing Catholic and regularly attended Saint Fabian Church. She was known for her quick wit and exceptional sense of humor, and she always had a way of making others feel good in her presence. Louise was the cherished daughter of the late Lorenzo and Louise Genovese. Loving sister of Angela (the late Peter) Carlin, the late Sylvia (Mark) Soss, and Marie (Peter) Lograsso. Proud aunt of Paul (Velta) Carlin, Michael Carlin, Marilyn (Paul) Herman, Peter Lograsso, and Elaine (Ben) Coifman, as well as eleven great-nieces and nephews. Louise was loved and well cared for by her caregivers: Arnette Moss, Tylacia Cade, Shariyelle Borden, Sherry Borden, Jason Brod, and Sam Gearhart. The family offers sincere appreciation to Home Instead and Residential Hospice for the kindness, compassion, and dignity they showed in caring for Louise. A Memorial Mass for Louise will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, at 11:00 a.m., with gathering beginning at 10:00 a.m., at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 W. 12 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48334. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Louise's name may be directed to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, 30400 Telegraph Rd #150, Bingham Farms, MI 48025.
