Denny Ray Fox, age 66 of Novi, passed away February 8, 2026. He was born July 9, 1959 in Lynwood, California to Raymond and DeAnna Fox. Raised mostly in Utah, Denny was a graduate of American Fork High School. He went on to attend Snow College for two years, continuing his studies at Utah State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He completed his MBA at The University of Chicago. Although Denny had graduated from Snow College, he remained in Ephraim, working as a disc jockey. It was there that the hands of fate led him to meet Suzanne Nelson. The two were engaged just six weeks later. After about a six months engagement, Denny and Susie were married on June 19th, 1980 in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They moved to Logan where Denny continued his education and they started their new family. Denny’s long career in accounting led him to many destinations throughout the United States. He started his work with Deloitte Haskins & Sells in Salt Lake City, transferring to Phoenix, then onto Connecticut, and then Detroit. He took a position with Bank One in Ohio and then with PricewaterhouseCoopers in New Jersey. Denny then took a job with Freddie Mac in Virginia before returning to Detroit, where he was an accountant for General Motors until his health began to decline. He was truly a brilliant accountant, grasping concepts like no other, offering unmatched expertise with detailed precision. Besides Denny’s vast success as an accountant, indeed his true pride was his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved to take care of his home and family, showcasing his talents in gardening and building furniture. He tried his hand at any project that came his way. When free time allowed, he enjoyed reading and watching college football. From his time in Columbus, he remained an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. His children can fondly remember growing up with a dad that was always involved, coaching their sports teams, attending concerts, and supporting them in any way needed. When grandchildren entered his life, all attention was diverted to making them laugh and creating treasured memories. All Denny aimed for was to make others happy. His life was guided by a deep faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and he always strived to live and serve others as his Savior taught. He volunteered his time and served in his Church in many different capacities, and he particularly loved teaching children’s Sunday school classes. Everyone loved him, just as he gave his love and respect to all who had the honor of knowing him. He will truly be missed beyond measure. Denny was the beloved husband of Suzanne for 45 years. Loving father of Shelly (Ryan) Baker, Jonathan (Lyndsey) and Jacob (Amanda). Proud grandfather of Ellington, Scarlett, Holly, Quinley, Audrey, Grace, Leo and Ella. Cherished son of Raymond and the late DeAnna. Dear brother of Ronald, Corey, and the late Doreen. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Nedra Abegglen and father-in-law Bart (Barbara) Nelson. Visitation for Denny will be held on Saturday, February 14th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 31450 Six Mile Rd., Livonia. Burial will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Park Cemetery, Livonia.
