Deena Ann Wright, age 76 of Farmington Hills, Michigan, passed away on March 9, 2026. She was born on November 1, 1949 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Ralph and Helen Hird.

A 1967 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Deena went on to attend and graduate from Indian Hills Community College. She first met her future husband, Stephen Frank Wright, in an 8th grade classroom. The two were married on June 21, 1975 after reconnecting in their twenties.

Deena was the beloved wife of Stephen for over 50 years. She was the devoted and much-loved mother of two daughters, Elizabeth G. Wright and Sarah C. (Jeffrey Julson) Wright. She is survived by her dear sister, Lucretia Smith. She is also survived by her nephew Ryan (Kelly Boesenberg-Smith) Smith and their children, Owen and Audrey Smith.

Arrangements for Mrs. Wright’s services are entrusted to Reece Funeral Home, 607 E. Second St., Ottumwa, IA 52501. She will be laid to rest in Glasgow Cemetery in Glasgow, Iowa.
