Robert W. Hudson passed away on May 15, 2026, at his home in Canton, at the age of 73. He was the loving husband of Sharon for 54 years; devoted father of Melanie (Mike) Fcasni and Robert D. (Heather) Hudson; cherished grandfather of Dillon Knight, Elissa Hudson, Laura Fcasni, and Chris (Caitlin) Fcasni; and dear brother of Jim Hudson, Tom (Leslie) Hudson, Patty (John) Westcott, and Sue Caporosso.

Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Harold Hudson, and his parents, Robert and Allene Hudson.

Robert was an Army veteran who retired from General Motors after over 40 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed deer hunting, playing his guitars, and playing/watching hockey. He enjoyed relaxing with family and friends at the cottage, though relaxing was never his strong suit. Robert was also an avid motorcyclist who formed lasting friendships with many fellow riders. His family and friends will greatly miss Robert’s love and influence.

A Memorial Service for Robert will be held on Sunday, June 7th, at 12:00 p.m., with gathering beginning at 10:00 a.m., at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. He will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.

Instead of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Robert’s honor.
