Connie Louise Curto of West Bloomfield, MI passed away peacefully on June 26th, 2026, at Aliya Extended Care Facility in Palos Park, IL. Connie was born in Kansas City, MO on February 27th, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Paula Leos and Ruben Rogers. Connie married the late Frank Curto, a professional sports photographer, on August 24, 1946, and they went on to build a beautiful life together. Connie spent most of her professional career teaching survival swimming classes to children, the blind and otherwise physically handicapped individuals. She also created a synchronized swimming group of children of various ages which she named “The Aquaducks,” and “The Aquaducklings.” In 2017, as a person of faith, Connie was designated as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Farmington, MI. As such, she freely dedicated time to minister to the needs of the parish people. Connie loved to travel internationally, and she loved to dance. She also loved her family and pets, including both dogs and cats. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Curto, and her siblings Helen Rogers, Ruben Rogers and Robert Rodriguez. She is survived by multiple nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and great, great-nieces and great, great-nephews. Connie will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering faith and her love for her family and friends. Her cheerful laughter and smile will be remembered by all who knew her. A private burial will be held at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, MI.
