Paul Killingbeck, age 97, of Canton, formerly of Westland, passed away on June 26, 2026. Paul was a man who loved his family and his faith. He was always ready to help a neighbor, whether it was shoveling snow or cutting lawns. He also loved working on cars, and his oldest son, Jeff, introduced him to building and flying model airplanes, a hobby that became a true joy for him. Paul also had a great sense of humor. Every morning, when his son Scott came to visit, Paul would look at him with a grin and say, "Well, it's time for you to go to work, make me some money." Paul and his wife, Jean, were long time members of Faith Church Denton in Belleville, Michigan, where they built lasting relationships with the community and true friendship that continued for decades. Paul could often be found repairing things around the church building and cutting the church lawn, a job he kept up until he was 90 years old, when his sons finally told him it was time to stop. Jean and Paul also enjoyed decorating the church for the holidays alongside a few close friends. Paul was incredibly proud of his family. He loved his two sons and cherished hearing about what was going on in their lives. He especially adored his first and only granddaughter, Alyssa. Paul was married to the love of his life, Jean, for 73 years. He was the father of Jeff (Deb) and Scott Killingbeck, and the proud grandfather of Alyssa (Kevin Bennett) Killingbeck. Visitation for Paul will be held Wednesday, July 8th, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m., at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 Canton Center Rd., Canton. He will be laid to rest in Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Paul's name may be directed to the Festival of Trees at FOT.org.
