David F. Thoresen passed away August 5, 2026 at the age of 87.

David retired from Ford Motor Company after over 30 years of dedication. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Colombus and a St. Fabian Catholic Church parishioner. David will be dearly missed by his beloved family and friends.

David was the loving husband of Rosemary for 58 years; cherished father of Joseph, Paula (late Christopher) Bodis and the late Andrew Thoresen; and devoted papa of Isabella and Graciana Bodis.

Visitation for Mr. Thoresen will be held Monday, August 10th, beginning at 3:00 p.m. until the time of his Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills. He will lie in state Tuesday, August 11th, at 10:30 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills. Mr. Thoresen will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
