Sylvia Joyce Gallucci, age 88, passed away August 12, 2026. She was born September 1, 1937 in Dearborn, Michigan to Henry and Anna Johnson.

Sylvia was a dedicated animal lover, devoting her efforts to volunteering for the Great Lakes Mastiff Rescue. Over the years, she helped facilitate countless rescues and adoptions.

Sylvia was the loving mother of Patrick (Patricia) Gallucci, Susan McLaren, and Marc (Mandy Collins) Gallucci. Dear grandmother of Quinn, Brendan, Gabriel, and Felix. Sylvia was predeceased by her siblings Genevieve Kuzma, Ray Johnson, and Virginia Zasavage. She is also survived by extended family members, Charlie, Griffin, and Jasper Collins.

Visitation for Sylvia will be held on Friday, August 14th, from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Service at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. She will lie in state on Saturday, August 15th, at 10:30 a.m., until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 409 W. Columbia Ave., Belleville.

In lieu of flowers, Sylvia would rather have strongly encouraged a donation in her name to the Humane Society or Mastiff to Mutts Rescue.
