Wayne Charles Elliott, 67, of Farmington Hills, passed away suddenly on August 16, 2026.

A beloved husband, father, and friend to so many. Wayne will be remembered for his quick wit, easy smile, and the warmth and humor he brought to the lives of those around him.

Wayne was born on August 14, 1959, in Detroit and raised in Dearborn Heights. He graduated from Crestwood High School, where he was known as “Rock” Elliott and played guitar in a band—an early expression of what would become a lifelong love of classic rock and roll.

In his early twenties, Wayne took his builder’s exam and began working alongside his brother Lee Elliott; then created his own company, Elliott Builders. He later transitioned into estimating, where his talent and experience ultimately led him to grow Statewide Disaster Restoration and 360 Fire and Flood into successful businesses.

Outside of work, Wayne had a lifelong passion for collecting unique things. Whether it was beer tapper handles, logo golf balls, art, wine corks, whiskey, and any other interesting finds that caught his eye. Wayne took genuine pleasure in building his collections. He was also a Pokémon Master, proving that his curiosity, enthusiasm, and sense of fun never had an age limit.

More than his accomplishments or the things he collected, however, Wayne will be remembered for the person he was. He had a quick wit, a smile for everyone, and a way of making the people around him feel welcome. His humor, friendship, and unmistakable personality touched countless lives and will be deeply missed.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Cindy; his daughter, Ashley (Eric); his son, Ian; and his niece Kimberly (Andrew). 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Jean Elliott, and his brothers, Lee and Scott.

Wayne leaves behind a lifetime of memories for his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him. Though his passing was sudden and far too soon, the laughter, stories, music, friendships, and love he shared will remain with them.

Visitation for Wayne will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m.at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills.
