Mechelle LeFleur (Kippy), 59, of Canton, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, August 15th, 2026. Born in Crystal Falls, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of Betty and Edward LeFleur and cherished sister of Joyce (Chris), Robert (Deb), Michael (Cathy), and MaryAnn (Chris). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Edward LeFleur, and her brother, Robert. She shared a deep and devoted love with her fiancé, Charles Thompson. Together they were joyfully planning their wedding and looking forward to the life they would build side by side. Charles’s unwavering love and compassion were among life’s greatest blessings to Mechelle, and their bond brought her immeasurable happiness. Mechelle had a lifelong love of learning and proudly earned three associate degrees. Curious by nature and exceptionally gifted with numbers, she never stopped growing. She also had a remarkable talent in the kitchen, where her meals brought warmth, comfort, and people together. Though she lived far from her hometown, Mechelle created a circle of friends who became family. Their love, laughter, and unwavering support filled her life with joy. She especially cherished her dear friend Claudia Westbrook, whose support meant so much throughout her journey. Throughout her life She shared a special bond with her many beloved dogs, and her faithful companion Willie survives her, carrying a piece of her heart. Mechelle will be deeply missed by her family, by Charles, by her friends who became family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
