Cornelia Anne “Connie” Jones, age 92, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026, with her children and family by her side.

Connie was born on December 19, 1933, to the late James Crause and Mary (Klemence) Crause. She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, with her sister, Carol. After high school, she attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, on an academic scholarship. It was there that she met her beloved “Blue Eyes,” Edward “Eddie” Warren Jones of Dayton, Ohio.

On February 19, 1955, Connie married her sweetheart, Eddie. They moved to Virginia, where he served in the U.S. Army. Following his honorable discharge, they settled in Dayton, Ohio, where they raised their five children.

Connie worked for 30 years as a unit clerk on a cardiac floor at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, receiving numerous awards in recognition of her service. She also volunteered at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and at several homeless shelters in the inner city. After her husband’s passing in April 2025, she moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to be closer to family.

Connie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, listening to music, cooking, sewing, and keeping up with world events.

Connie was a devoted and faithful servant of the Lord. Her faith sustained her through life’s most difficult challenges, and she shared her faith in Jesus Christ with her family and all who needed encouragement. She faithfully attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kettering, Ohio, for more than 60 years. She also attended Solid Rock Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Connie is survived by her four children: Warren Cody Jones and his wife, Theresa, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Lauren Arcaro and her husband, Edward Robert, of Tampa, Florida; Brian Jones of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and Darren Jones of Dayton, Ohio. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; her sister, Carol; and her daughter, Leslie Barnett.

A memorial dinner and committal service for family and close friends will take place at the family’s farm in southern Indiana.
