Condolence

To Dana's family...My sincere sympathies for your tremendous loss. I fondly remember Dana from Twinsburg days. She was a lovely young lady then, and friends with my daughters during those growing up years. She is from such a loving and kind family and I cannot imagine the hurt and loss that is felt with her passing. Just know that she will be remembered fondly. My prayers go out to you. I am a stage 4 lung patient at present and I know what this disease does to all who go this journey. She was brave in her battle, but God chose to call her home. She is now a bright star in the sky....and will be terribly missed...Marti Housel Boberg

Dana was a very sweet, kind neighbor who I will dearly miss talking to. What I appreciated most about her was the way she knew what was important in life . She spoke of her family only with unconditional love... May all of you be surrounded by the love and support of family and friends during this difficult time The Haworths

My daughter (Micaela) and Dana's daughter (Julia) are great/best friends with one another. In Freshman Year at Michigan State, my out-of-town daughter was invited to spend Easter Dinner with the Lutz Family. In essence, Dana was my daughter Micaela's Michigan Mom. My wife (another Julia), younger daughter (Chiara) and I were fortunate enough to meet Dana last fall while visiting both Micaela's and Julia's house for the Michigan-Michigan State Football Game. Upon that first (and sadly only) get-together, I was struck by my meeting a genuine soul. Although I presume that she was not feeling great at the time, Dana exuded joy in celebrating time with her beloved daughter, her family and her daughter's friends. My life is richer for having met Dana. The world is better off with you having spent time with the rest of us. Thank you. Rest in peace. Your family is carrying you, and the memory of you, forward through their lives.

Footprints In The Sand One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The LORD replied: "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." Author: Carolyn Joyce Carty
