I've known Wayne for many years. I'm so sad to read this only now. God, I'm sure is taking good care of him. Can the family give me any information? I tried to contact him last winter but no response. And have you informed the Ann Arbor Ski Club? My sincere condolences. Mary Waltz

My heart aches having just learned of Wayne's passing while I was out of town. I will always remember his quick wit, generosity, friendliness and contagious smile. I feel blessed to have had him as a friend. May he rest in peace.

The best dad, the most dedicated grandfather; you will be missed Wayne.

I will truly miss him. We kept each other updated on happenings of classmates & current events.

Wayne was quite a guy and we were blessed to have him as a regular visitor to Arizona. A great sense of humor and many connections to Michigan made him very special to me and my wife. He will be missed in so many ways.

Wayne and I have known one another since the 7th grade. We played football and track together in high school. Over the years Wayne and I went to many high school games. I will miss that and his friendship so much. May you be in heaven with all of our buddies before you. My sincere condolences to Wayne's family. God Bless!

I will always remember Wayne. I am so lucky to consider his daughter, Renay, one of my closest friends - I see his amazing sense of humor and laughter in her, and now in his wonderful grandkids. Wayne spearheaded one of the biggest road trips of my adolescence - a trip that I will never forget. Filled with laughter and many romance novels read in the backseat, his father, Herm's ginger brandy and mother, Connie's, kind spirit – these are memories I will treasure, always. My heart breaks for Wayne's family and friends – though I know that Wayne is now at peace watching from above, and smiling with so much pride at Randy & Renay, and Danny, Bella and Grace. He had so much to be proud of and was so very loved. May we all have this when our journey on Earth completes.
