Whether I was visiting Al as part of a school visit or seeing him with his lovely wife casually over dinner, my strongest memory of Al is his quick smile and his wonderful ability to put everyone around at ease. Fondly, Francine and Jack Smithson

i had the pleasure of knowing AL, for several years, first as a coach/ teacher, then as a father to brad, and bryan, that played basketball, for us at aquinas, both brad, and bryan were exceptional student athletes, and coach al wasa terrfic dad, it is a sad loss for all of us, always had a smile on his face, and after taking to him, you were always good for a better day ahead, to his soul mate phyliss i remeber coming to your business class and speaking to your students, your were terrific, my prayers are with ALS entire family, he was the best! god rest his beautiful soul, jim perry

Al was such a wonderful man. I truly loved the seven years I spent working with him and Phyllis at the Tea Room. His love for Adrian was unmatched, and things haven't been quite the same since the Tea Room closed. All my love to Phyllis, his children, and family. Thank you, Al, for being my friend and bonus Dad. ????

I met Al through my mom, who was a teacher in Romulus Schools and he was also so warm, friendly and loved to joke around. He always had a smile on his face. Sending condolences to all his family and friends. Rest in peace Al.
