Deanne, for some reason I decided to find out about your Dad. The last time I saw him was at a gathering of former members of Calvary Lutheran Church in 2002. Your Mom was in a wheelchair. I still remember how she stared at me with a look of love and kindness that she shared. Your Dad was so loving and attentive to her condition. I'll always recall the image I carry of her smiling eyes. John and Dorothy were there with them. I recall how you and our Karen were good friends and had a sleepover at our parsonage sometime in the 60's.I recall our nine years in Detroit and Southfield as being so very fulfilling. Much of that was because of our shared life of faith and service, shoulder to shoulder and heart to heart during struggles. Always your family was involved. As I recall all of those times, your Mom and Dad were a beacon of hope. RuthAnn and I send our love to you, Pastor Pete
