Dear Bob, Chris and Matt. My condolences to each of you for the loss of Gayle. I met her on a few occasions over the past 30 years but I know the 3 of you well. She must have been a wonderful example for all of you as all 3 of you are outstanding gentlemen. I can count on one hand the number of truly great people who were my boss. Gayle was at the very top. She was an incredibly gifted leader, an excellent communicator, someone who knew her responsibilities well and one who truly cared. Hannah, I see those traits in you. Her support for and work in education left a lasting impact on too many to count. I feel privileged to have known and worked with and for her. My sincere condolences to all who love her. Her loss is deeply felt and she will be missed. Gayle, fly high - you were one of the very best! I learned so much from you and I use what you taught today, both professionally and personally. RIP.

So sorry t0 hear of Gayles passing. Much suffering with all the medical issues. Great mother to her family.

We would each do well to follow the examples Bob and Hannah have given in caring for loved ones these last months. We are taught to find the presence of the Lord in those who, like Gayle, are kind to us, who do good to us in any way and especially in those who share the eucharistic meal with us. Just as we are called to be Jesus to everyone we encounter. For some time now, we have prayed for healing for Gayle, and it may seem those prayers went unanswered, but actually they were -- going to Heaven is far better than some of the possible outcomes. I pray now that no one despairs, prayers are answered.

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Gayle but Bob was one of my high school coaches and I've been playing golf with he and their son's for 25+ years. I extend my sincerest condolences to Bob and the rest of the family in their loss.

As the former superintendent of Fraser Public Schools, I had the pleasure of working with Gayle during her tenure as the Chief Academic Officer for the Macomb Intermediate School District. Gayle was an impressive leader who could skillfully maneuver through the swirling political minutiae convoluting education and cut to the chase of what was educationally sound for students. She inspired the efforts of Fraser Schools to do the same. I have had the highest respect for Gayle and am thankful for her guidance to increase learning for all students.

Gayle was one of the most influential woman in my life.I spent years seeking her wisdom. With Love April
