I will always remember Uncle Conrad's exceptional kindness and patience towards me as a young child. So many drives back and forth between my house and Aunt Mary and Uncle Conrad's apartment every single time I wanted to spend the night with them. He never made me feel bad for being homesick as he drove me back and forth until I was brave enough to stay over. He also was a great example for me. I saw a husband and father who was so loving, funny, encouraging and kind to his wife and sons. I was never scared around him. There is no doubt that Uncle Conrad's impression upon me as a child was a part of my choosing a husband with similar traits. Rest In Peace, Uncle Conrad.

I will always remember my great-uncle coming to every birthday of my childhood. He had such a soft and kind presence. Both of my grandfathers passed away before I was born, and Uncle Conrad felt like a grandfather to me. Sending love.
