Jade was the cutes baby and sweetest young lady.. I didn't get to spend much time with her as an adult, but I remember her being such a light. So happy, funny and kind. The last time I saw her I told her a story about when she was a baby. Gabe and Christy and I were up late in grandmas kitchen. She had been eating m&ms like a champ out of the candy bowl. We stuck a sour candy in the bowl and waited for her hilarious face. Baby Jade then got me back while I held her, letting out a fart aw loud and vibrating, it scared me to the point of almost dropping her. Gabe and Christy laughed hysterically.. I told her she was the first adult I could ever say I held as a baby..??

One fine day in February, I finally had the long awaited pleasure of meeting Jade; my God Son Jake's girlfriend and life partner. I'd heard so much about her. It was a perfect day for boating when we met up with Jade, Jake and the Judge Family for a dockside dine lunch in Ft. Myers, Fl. Not surprising after only moments spent together with her, she instantly felt like family with her juicy spirit, natural energy, creativity and "way" with people. She instantly felt comfortable calling me "Aunt Lisa." Although my personal time spent with Jade was very brief, I imagine it was always her hallmark stamp, to offer up the same unique love on the hearts of everyone who crossed her path :-). She shared stories with me about her parents, brother, sister and grandparents and showed me her tattoos and the stories behind each of them. With a heavy heart, I feel blessed to have a slice of Jade's Spirit in my life, which I will honor and keep close to my heart and keep her Spirit alive as that fine day I met her.
