Edith called Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Livonia, that she had once attended many years ago, while in her condo in Livonia. I was a member of the church's visitation team. Edith was 90 at the time, had given up a car and was experiencing the use of a cane for walking. I became her contact with her former church for 12 years, a wonderful friendship with devotations, communion, and prayer. Visits might include lunch sharing. 3 different residences within the 12 years. I believe I may have been her last visitor, when I visited her on her 103rd birthday with a large birthday card signed by many of the congregation and pink roses. A great lady in her earthly life, now to her forever, eternal life.
