I Remember...

When I just started work I remember car pooling sometimes from Lake In the Woods to Ford back in 1983. Len told me he and another colleague did a time study design of experiment to figure out the best route to the office. That was our Lenny! He also set a goal to be a supervisor by the time he had 10 years at the company - and he achieved that objective. What a wonderful man, colleague and human being.

Len was awesome.....kind, considerate, funny, and always smiling. I worked with him in Climate Control Engineering at Ford and Visteon. I remember the story he told me about when he was still single and just graduated from college. He had bought a new suit for work and wanted to clean it. Being logical he threw it into the wash machine. It came out really clean albeit a few sizes too small. I still laugh when I tell this story. Good memories! Sorry to hear of Len's passing.

I found this thanks to David F. Martin who keeps all of us old Climate Control people together. So sad to hear this! Len was everything as described by others in these Memories. I worked with Len for a number of years in Climate. Len was my favorite person to work with! As stated, Len was always smiling and happy. He would bend over backwards to help one out. No better man ever lived! He passed way to soon! Prayers of peace, love and fond memories of Len to his family! Len was a treasure! Don

I worked with Len at Ford Climate Control and later at Visteon Test Operations. He was a very kind person, always doing for others, happy to take on any assignment, no matter how challenging. I recall days when we centralized the Visteon Test Operations within SE MI and then in the EU, he was instrumental in this effort. Working late and paying attention to details. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time with him and sorry to hear of his passing, way too soon. Condolences to his family.

I worked with Len at Ford Climate Control in the 80's. He was indeed a very kind person, always doing for others, happy to take on any assignment, no matter how mundane. I am sorry to hear of his passing, way too soon. Condolences to his family.

When I began working at Hanon you were one of the first persons I met. Whether in passing or while I was trying to learn my new duties you were always kind and quick to give a smile and good conversation. My prayers are with your Family.

40 years ago, when I hired into Ford Climate Control he was the first person to welcome me to Michigan. He lived in the same apartment complex (Lake in the Woods) in Ypsi and we'd go out after work often. Sometimes we'd go to ChiChi's in Dearborn for food and drink. Len would often order desert first, fried ice cream. Len couldn't cook let alone boil water. One story I recall is that after drinking one night he was hungry for mac & cheese, put the noodles on to cook and proceeded to fall asleep. The water boiled off and the burning noodles set off the smoke alarm and smoked up his apartment. Early on Len had a habit of driving too fast. That was okay in the small town in Maine where he came from because the police all knew his family and he could get off with a warning. But the police around Dearborn weren't so lenient. Once he go 2 speeding tickets in the same day, from the same police officer! Len, you were truly a good friend and I will miss you...until we meet again in heaven.

Len and I worked together when he was at the Atlanta assembly plant. I was a young professional straight from university. He taught me so much as well as demonstrating amazing trust in my ability to catch on to what I needed to do - I was remote in Chicago from him. I was able to visit him in Atlanta a few times. He was always pleasant to work with and a great talented person. Prayers to the family he has left behind (way too early). It's so difficult when our loved ones are no longer able to be with us on this earth. Patty Flynn
