I've known Toni for as long as I can remember. I hadn't seen her in years, but she's one of those people who stays with you. Some of my earliest memories are of being at Ramono's--my sister and I helping with catering orders alongside our dad and grandma, who worked with Toni. She'd hand us dough balls to take home, like it was totally normal to get playdough from a restaurant kitchen. Toni never took shit from anyone, and I mean that in the best possible way. She was tough, hilarious, and had a huge heart. I credit Toni and my grandmother with sparking my love for restaurants and culinary adventures. I have nothing but the fondest memories of her.
