I was very close to his sister Patty Pat. I met Ronnie when we went to watch him do a magic show. He was awesome very like able Man. Very funny, I'm very close to his niece Sandy and she will miss him also. Rest in peace Ronnie. Give your Mom and Pat hugs for me

He was my first boss at The Detroit News ... about 60 years ago. I was nervous, but on my first day I was greeted my Ron's great smile. And for 60 years, it has been a delight to call him a friend.
