I remember Mrs. Zervos being my one and only Sunday school teacher when Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church was in Southfield. She taught us all to memorize the Lord's Prayer and the Creed. My family and the Zervos family lived in Southfield just a mile or so apart, so we attended the same schools--even college--and played youth sports together, including basketball and baseball with Angelo and Benny. The Zervos home was always welcoming, where we had a place to play cards and play games. She didn't just teach us our faith; she lived it through her hospitality. She will be deeply missed.
